Goodwill TalentBridge is currently hiring 1 Shipping and Receiving Clerk located in Chicago, IL (Near Evanston).
This role is 1st shift, M-F on a temp to hire contract.
7:30am – 4:00pm
$23/hr.
2+years of experience needed, at minimum.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Obtain and process product orders, including receiving and registering deliveries,
- Maintain stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis
- Schedule large shipments and plan logistics / staging in warehouse for item storage
- Handle incoming and outgoing shipments
- Loads and unloads delivery trucks.
- Package orders, weigh packages, assign labels and organize packages accordingly
- Verify incoming shipments by cross-checking invoices against incoming deliveries
- Use forklifts and other machinery to transfer pallets to shelving or storage locations
- Keep files of goods shipped and received
- Handle customer complaints or order discrepancies
- Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory
Requirements:
- Someone who enjoys working as part of a team
- Previous warehouse experience required, preferably in the Shipping and Receiving department

- Strong computer skills
- Ability to operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts (2+ years required)
- Excellent physical stamina, allowing them to lift or carry packages and stand for long periods of time.
