As a Continuing Education Manager, you will be responsible for facilitating the delivery of services to ensure programs align with organizational goals, guidelines, and policy requirements. This includes managing all continuing education initiatives including in-person and online meetings, conferences, programs, and special/joint meetings, and events; creating and managing content and materials for educational programs; and developing new ways to conduct educational programs to increase efficiency and program offerings.

Requirements:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all aspects of educational programming, including scientific programs and administering programs based on best practices
  • Oversee and provide administrative support to various committees and subcommittees to include meeting agendas, meeting minutes, recommendations, and follow up on committee and board actions
  • Assist with budget development and oversight
  • Manage and oversee the process of continuing education credits, ensuring recognition as an accredited CE provider for the organization (ADA CERP/ACME/AGD)
  • Manage responses for internal and external requests related to continuing education credits and scientific programming
  • Oversee staff requests for CE credits and updating training tools and resources for proper compliance
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the online speaker management system and learning management system(LMS) – includes webinars and CE on demand courses
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings to track and communicate deadlines to internal staff, vendors, and project coordinators
  • Oversee the development of websites and mobile app for all educational events and review speaker presentations
  • Manage and develop continuing education staff, supervising activities and projects and managing the administration of performance reviews and goal setting
  • Oversee marketing and promotional efforts while developing new ways to conduct educational programs and increasing participation using new technologies and teaching methodologies
  • Serve as a division representative and assist with other duties/projects as requested


LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent/relevant experience
  • Previous experience managing educational programs and budgets within a healthcare setting preferred
  • Knowledge of education accreditation compliance (ACCME, ADA, CERP)
  • Strong management, leadership, and team building skill set
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Proficiency in social media and Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook, and Excel
