Position Description
The AF2/HSTSI2 Facilitator PT is a part-time position providing comprehensive case management and advocacy services to adult victims of all types of human trafficking. AF2 and HSTSI2 Lead Facilitators perform the same tasks. The difference is that HSTSI2 Facilitators have the lived experience of human trafficking and AF2 Facilitators do not have lived experience of human trafficking. The AF2/HSTSI2 Lead Facilitator updates files, collects data, provides direct services and leads support groups. This position attends all required trainings and performs other duties as assigned. Reports directly to the AF2/HSTSI2 Lead Facilitator (note: The first to a year of this position are considered training and will consist of largely administrative tasks to become familiar with forms, reporting, etc)
Position Requirements
- Communication skills: This is a highly verbal profession. Choosing and using the right words can be critical to a victim's peace of mind. Demonstrate effective communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively, and asking questions when clarification is needed.
- Interpersonal skills: A capacity for compassion and empathy is critical. The ability to establish and maintain personal and professional boundaries is critical. Must be able to work well with others fostering a team atmosphere
- Problem-solving skills: An analytical mind is needed to weigh and assess the best options for victims in various situations.
- Organizational skills: Victim advocates must accurately and meticulously maintain records and make them available to others, sometimes on a moment's notice
- Software skills – proficient in Microsoft Office Suite needed as most of our record reporting uses some form of this software.
- Experience - working knowledge of human trafficking or lived experience (desired but will be trained)
- Cooperation – adhere to all company policies and procedures
Requirements:
Position Responsibilities
- Coordinate and provide direct services to clients including but not limited to:
- Perform intakes to access client needs and coordinate services
- Provide case management to evaluate and guide the client through a plan for success
- Develop and re-evaluate service delivery offering suggestions to improve quality and type of service
- Track service delivery, gather data and assist with required reports
- Attend trainings to maintain efficient and effective service delivery
- Lead support groups based on meeting training requirements
- Accompany survivors for relocation as needed
- Accompany clients to appointments as needed
- Other duties:
- Track service delivery, gather date and assist with required reporting
- Submit monthly reports to the AF2/HSTSI2 Lead Facilitator or Manager
- Provide backup administrative and support to the AF2/HSTSI2 Lead Facilitator or Manager
- Assist with Solace Support Line as needed
- Respond to written communications from clients
- Other duties as assigned
