Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our partnered client in the Libertyville area, is seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Assembly Technicians to join our team. As a 1st Shift  Computer/Server Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in assembling custom-built computers/servers to meet the unique specifications of our partner’s clients. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of each build and troubleshooting hardware issues.   • 1st Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
    (Must be open to overtime and weekend shifts when needed)

Skills:

  • Building servers with a set of instructions.
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures to assemble computer hardware components.
  • Work on motherboards.  Add memory chips and the hard drive.
  • Complete tasks as described by production schedules with minimum supervision.
  • Verify all components picked to items on the order.
  • Work and communicate in a professional manner.
  • Achieve departmental work goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Communicate suggestions and feed back to build documents.
  • Conduct basic math calculations.
  • Record any non-conformances.
  • Perform visual quality inspections.
  • Load and unload materials onto or from a cart.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 – 3 years of assembly experience in the computer/electronics field.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Work well with others and demonstrate a great work ethic.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to follow written instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Must be able to work additional hours and weekends when required.


Candidates must have prior experience building a computer from start to finish and have done this more than once.
