Job Summary

  • Maintaining customer systems and equipment to proper manufacturer working specifications within  directed timeframes.
  • Diagnose and communicate effectively within  management and customers on system and equipment problems and planned repairs.
  • Able to compete repairs that meet or exceed customer expectations

General Accountabilities

  • Read service guides to find information required to perform repairs.
  • Inspect and test equipment to locate damage or worn parts and diagnose malfunctions or read work orders or schematic drawings to determine required repairs.
  • Understand how systems and equipment are designed and used
  • Able to quickly diagnose problems and effectively communicate a course of action to  management and customers
  • Once approved for repair, repair customer units within the time frames agreed upon by management  and the customer
  • Communicate with the customer via email, text or phone to keep them informed on the progress of the repair and costs
  • Document repairs either via a report log or directly into  tracking systems
  • Communicate with administration to ensure the customer receives the proper invoice and documentation
  • Work with management and administration  to ensure proper inventory is available to meet customers expectations.  
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in small engine repair or equivalent
  • Use of systems in the plumbing industry
  • Training in electronics and small engine repair
