Responsible for overseeing and coordinating inbound processing by performing the following duties: 

  • Schedule containers for delivery with drayage company
  • Prepare shipment check-in paperwork prior to container arriving
  • Verify seal on container prior to receiving container
  • Track and plan labor needs based on projected workload
  • Use metrics to measure success of team and communicate wins/losses
  • Unload, check in, and put away multiple PO’s delivering on the same container
  • Communicate daily with purchasing team
  • Coach new team members and make thoughtful recommendations for hire
  • Operate sit down forklift with slip sheet attachment
  • Use a pallet jack, electric pallet walkie, and physically wrap a pallet by hand
  • Performs all jobs in the distribution center as necessary under supervision of the Distribution Supervisor
  • Performs daily inventory cycle counts as necessary
  • Maintains inventory accuracy for purchase order receipts, customer returns, inventory moves, and outbound customer shipments
  • Maintains clean receiving area at all times including end of shift clean up plan
  • Uses equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock such as fork lift, pallet jacks, dollies and hand trucks



  • 5+ years of previous receiving dock hands on experience 
  • 2+ years of previous receiving leadership experience
  • Microsoft Outlook experience is a must
  • Microsoft Excel experience is a must

  • High school diploma or GED required;
  • 2-5 years experience in a distribution center; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • 2nd Shift: 2:30PM - 11:00PM + OT as needed
  •  $15+ based on experience
  • Contract to Hire
