Goodwill TalentBridge Is seeking a motivated and results oriented Warehouse Lead to join one of our clients in the Libertyville area. 

In this role, you will assist with the daily operations of our shipping warehouse while ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. You will lead a team of warehouse associates, delegate tasks, and ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for leading a team in receiving of materials into warehouse, picking of piece parts, and larger work orders in a manner that meets our clients Standards for safety, security, quality, and productivity. 

Shifts: 3:30 pm to 12:00 am 

Candidates will train on 1st shift until 2nd shift is set up in 1 to 2 months or more as needed. 

Pay: $26.00

Responsibilities

    • Lead a team of warehouse associates, motivating them to achieve and maintain a high level of productivity and accuracy.
    • Help Supervisor identify staffing needs and delegate tasks assigning labor as pick-pack-ship work flow dictates 
    • Help to Oversee Warehouse Picking, Packing, and Shipping of warehouse sales orders by setting expectations and meeting KPI.
    • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as account coordinators and production Staff, to ensure smooth operations.
    • Maintain and manage accurate WIP inventory and shipping records.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Train new warehouse associates and provide ongoing coaching and development to the team.
    • Address departmental inquiries or requests and resolve any order fulfillment issues.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained warehouse environment.
    • Assist with planning and leading departmental and continuous improvement projects.
    • Assist with troubleshooting and root cause identification for shipping errors and corrective/preventative action initiatives.
    • Contributes to creating, improving, and training on SOPs and Dozuki documentation.
    • Leading and assisting in 5s implementation and audits.
    • Duties assigned by Supervisor or Manager
    • Backup Warehouse Associate 1, 2, & 3 roles.
    • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow step-by-step instructions.
    • Ability to adjust and follow instructions in a fast-paced environment.
    • Contributes to the completing of projects on time, using project management software to manage the projects.

Requirements:

Physical Labor

    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk to hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
    • Ability to lift 50+ pounds on a repetitive basis.
    • Ability to work on feet 8+ hours a day.

Qualifications

    • High school diploma and 2-3 years’ experience in a warehouse shipping environment, preferably in a supervisory or lead role.
    • Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions, and use simple math.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in warehouse management principles and best practices.
    • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) a plus.
    • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills – Microsoft Office Experience required, MS TEAMS experience preferred.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Operate an electric pallet jack (required) and Stand-UpReach ruck (preferred).
