Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client, is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Driver to work in the West Allis, WI area.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This position will have a primary but rotating focus on driving hospital's vehicles from the hospital's Warehouse to other hospital affiliated locations. The driver may operate multiple vehicles ranging from cargo vans to straight trucks. The driver will be responsible for loading and unloading their assigned vehicle. When not driving this is a materials handling position picking & packing supplies to support hospital and clinic operations. Overall expectations include working quickly, safely and efficiently to handle product and ensure the accurate processing of supplies to our customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Primary Assignments

  • Exhibits guiding behaviors that reflect hospital's values and support our mission and vision.
  • Loads and unloads supplies onto hospital delivery truck and drives truck to and from hospital's Main Campus and Off-Site locations in order to deliver supplies and linen carts.
  • Ability to safely operate multiple vehicles ranging from passenger and cargo vans to straight trucks.
  • Coordinates scheduled PMs and required repairs with hospital's maintenance vendor.
  • Completes a daily truck log and submit reports of mileage covered.
  • Maintains a clean and organized vehicle.
  • Observes and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.
  • Serves as a brand advocate and ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.
  • Conducts daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and report any problems or damage to management
  • Complies with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules.

Secondary Assignment (rotating)

  • Picks, and packs, requisitions for all hospital's locations based on the established delivery schedule.
  • Replenishes and rotates warehouse stock.
  • Checks for expired stock.
  • Rotates overstock to proper pick face locations.
  • Completes cycle counts.
  • Maintains assigned locations within the hospital's warehouse to include expiration audits, stock accessibility and general cleanliness.
  • Will assist the Supervisor insure the warehouse is maintained in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
  • Processes returns for credit, and corrects picking inaccuracy.
  • Utilizes the PeopleSoft Materials Management Information System (MMIS), to perform all daily activities related to supplies within the warehouse.
  • Greets and assist patients and families picking up nutritional products.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Experience in a service related environment preferred.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, ability to be insured by hospital's carrier.
  • Ability to stand and walk 95% of the time.
  • Ability to sit while driving.
  • Able to use equipment commonly associated with warehouse shipping and receiving, i.e., fork lifts/trucks, order pickers, pallet jacks, wheeled hand trucks, dollies, balers, and IT equipment such hand held devices, computers, printers and copy machines.
  • Ability to individually lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds and the ability to push/pull carts requiring up to 40 pounds of effort to initiate movement.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Windows based software required with Outlook, Excel, and Word experience preferred.
  • Experience with an automated Materials Management Information System (MMIS) or similar system functions is strongly preferred.
  • Requires flexibility to be available for on-call to meet department needs. Most work will be assigned to 1st shift operations Monday – Friday.
  • This individual must possess a strong sense of personal accountability, service orientation, sensitivity and responsiveness to the requests of user departments.
  • Ability to interact well with others and provide high levels of customer service.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills, along with the ability to make decisions that directly affect patient care.
SCHEDULE
  • 7:30 am - 4:00 pm, M-F
  • Pay: $17.20 - $24.94
