Goodwill TalentBridge along with our client is currently hiring 2 Technical Customer Service Representatives to work in the Wheeling, IL area.

Technical Support Representative will provide superior response and technical support to our customers and service partners.

All new employees will start on the 9:00am - 5:30pm schedule M-F.

*Every 4 or 5 weeks you will get a turn to cover the weekend shift to support weekend customers. The week you are scheduled to cover weekends you will receive a day off mid-week.

*Sundays can be worked from home if you have wifi.

Typical day consists of: All inbound calls with customers and helping them troubleshoot issues over the phone. If issue cannot be solved over the phone, will send to dispatch center.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The TSR is responsible for the daily interaction with customers and field technicians in the area of technical assistance and product uptime
  • Resolving assigned technical calls in a timely manner
  • Logging and updating service call information in an accurate manner
  • Collecting enhanced data as necessary to improve quality
  • Following up and making scheduled call backs to customers/technicians where necessary
  • Identifying and escalating priority issues
  • Participating in the periodic reporting of problems, issues or concerns regarding products
  • Supporting sales by following proper procedures/policies to support customers
  • Serving on a Technical Account ownership team providing superior service value to key customers
  • Collaborating and possibly creating technical and process documentation as needed
  • Performing additional assignments and/or special projects as assigned by the National Service Operations Manager
  • Identifying and proving equipment part numbers to Customer Solutions Team, Customers, and Technicians


Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two-year college degree or equivalent experience as a technical support representative (Customer Service/Technical/PC-Microsoft experience)
  • Bachelors preferred
  • Background in mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronics and computer software preferred
  • Able to install/uninstall software
  • Self-starter, maintains a high ethical standard in customer satisfaction
  • Passion to satisfy customer and a positive “can-do” attitude
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Understand flow charts and electronic block diagrams
  • Outstanding self initiative requiring minimal supervision
  • Must have solid time management and organizational skills
  • Great written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is a PLUS*


  • This role is contract to permanent hire on 1st shift.
  • Up to $25/hr.
