Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client, is currently recruiting SMT Material Handlers to work in the Wheeling area.

This client is dedicated to the automotive industry and combines all the relevant technologies for the megatrends of efficiency, safety and automated driving under one roof and hence is optimally equipped for the future.


  • Perform material handling processes and maintain proper inventory control. Execute daily job functions in the scope of this job is to execute daily job functions, properly store, handle, accurately count and disperse parts inventory with competent and efficient performance.
  • Will be properly attired in ESD protective wear, such as company issued smocks, heel straps and eyeglasses, required for safe material handling purposes. Job requires testing and logging in documented use of ESD heel straps before entering assigned work area.
  • Put away all incoming material on a daily basis, maintaining proper rotation of dated material inventory (FIFO). Report all updates of added or changed locations for daily locator maintenance.
  • Process orders by picking and staging job kits for cell. Orders are required to be picked accurate in both correct item and count; using ESD safe handling methods. Materials will be picked and issued according to proper date rotation (FIFO) and specification (manufacturer and brand).
  • Service parts requisitions. Accurately count, package and deliver parts to requesting party or work area.
  • Participate in Inventory related activities (physical inventories, cycle counts, cell organization, and various assignments) where and when required to do so.
  • Maintain assigned work area in a neat and orderly appearance, daily.
  • Perform assigned material transactions within Oracle.
  • Be able to be an integral part of a team and support team functions.


  • High School diploma or GED, or two to five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to speak effectively with operators, leaders and support staff required.
  • Basic Windows computer skills required.
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. less than 1/3rd of the time.
  • Lifting up to 10 lbs. 1/3rd to 2/3rds of the time.
  • Standing and use of hands, 2/3 of the time.
  • All candidates who receive an offer of employment will be subject to criminal background check and drug screening.

2nd shift hours are 4:30PM -12:00AM and associates must be flexible to accommodate overtime which could include weekends. Compensation for this role is $12/hr.
