Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client, is searching for a Shop Assistant to work in the Milwaukee area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform daily safety checks of all machines to ensure environment safety and fabrication productivity
  • Schedule daily work flow to ensure customer product is shipped in a timely fashion
  • Manage employee time off requests and daily attendance records
  • Supervise production employees
  • Manages the production of orders in rigging, chain, synthetics and testing to ensure production targets are achieved
  • Coordinates with sales department and management so that production needs are known
  • Communicates production status to inside sales and management regularly to ensure lead times are accurate
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure that items are fabricated to company quality standards
  • Ensure that equipment and tools used in applicable departments are properly maintained.
  • Ensure accurate documentation is used throughout the production process. (Pick lists, works orders, bills of laden, packing slips, tags, test certifications, etc.)

Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • HS diploma or GED required
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 70 lbs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal employees and external customers
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

SCHEDULE

  • 1st shift:  Monday thru Friday:  6am-230pm
  • Pay Range:  $14-14.50/hr
