Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client that serves the pharma, biopharma, healthcare and environmental markets, is searching for a Senior Staff Accountant to join their team! The position is in Vernon Hills IL, is full time DIRECT HIRE, and offers a great benefits package and starting annual salary at $80K. This isn’t your traditional accountant role; it focuses more on financial reporting. Manufacturing industry experience is heavily desired.


  • Reconciles, analyzes, and maintains general ledger accounts for a number of domestic entities
  • Analyze and prepare accruals for freight accounts across domestic entities
  • Perform daily cash reconciliations
  • Supports monthly closing activities by preparing, verifying, and entering accurate journal entries into various system general ledgers
  • Maintains audit-ready support schedules behind each account
  • Assist in audit process and ensures quality and support is prepared and available by specific deadlines
  • Document reconciliations, journal entries, and performed tasks in the Blackline system
  • Reviews variances in accounts and investigate unusual fluctuations
  • Compares results against prior periods and/or alternate data sources. 
  • Reviews and analyzes specific accounts as well as overall operating results and presents recommendations
  • Assists with the consolidation process including uploading ledgers into consolidation tool, analyzing consolidated data, and maintaining certain consolidated summary schedules
  • Supports financial, control, and operational audits as needed
  • Performs a variety of analysis and provides informational data to operational users
  • Maintains supplemental cash flow support on a quarterly basis.
  • Prepares detailed schedules to support audit and tax requirements. 



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited higher learning institution
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus, public accounting experience heavily preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years of Accounting experience
  • Experience with HOST Analytics and BlackLine preferred
  • Familiar with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills, good interpersonal skills, outstanding organizational and planning skills
