Goodwill TalentBridge is seeking an experienced grant writer to work in this direct hire role with our client, an established non-profit that provides human services programing and supportive services to vulnerable populations primarily within Southeastern Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience creating and developing compelling and complex grant and funding proposals and applications to governmental and philanthropic organizations as well as large institutional donors.
Candidates with social programs experience are preferred and must be experienced in developing donor relationships. Knowledge and experience working with fundraising sources, strategies, and research is necessary. Candidates for this role will have demonstrably strong communication, writing and editing skills. Experience managing large capital campaigns and multiple projects is essential. Financial and statistical knowledge and research experience related to the grant process is essential. Excellent time management and the ability to work within a fast-paced, deadline driven environment is necessary.

Requirements:
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in communication, public policy, social welfare or related field; bachelor’s degree in other field with relevant experience will be considered
- Master’s degree preferred
- Five plus years’ experience in proposal writing and/or fund development within a human services organization or program
- Development experience and fundraising knowledge, research experience and strategies required
- Proposal/grant writing and institutional donor relations experience
- Financial acumen and experience with budgeting, reporting and statistical research is required
- Database and software programs (Word, Outlook, Excel) proficiency as well as electronic funding submissions experience is essential
- Other job-related duties as assigned
