ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for managing engagements and special assignments using established firm policies and procedures
- Coordinate various phases of engagement planning by budgeting time and expenses, monitoring performances against budgets, reviewing documentation for accuracy, and reviewing financial statements
- Works with clients one-on-one to assist in developing solutions and managing processes’
- Identifies clients needs and opportunities, cross selling and offering new service opportunities
- Communicates engagement progress, problems and resolutions, financial information, tax activity, and any business concerns
- Develops work plans and ensures accountability for meeting deadlines
- Works with co-workers to resolve and prevent issues, assessing alternatives and taking appropriate measures to resolve said issues
- Supports partners to develop new initiatives, increase retention, meet resource needs, utilization, and professional development
- Assists with any other projects as needed
Requirements:
LEVEL OF EXPERIENCED REQUIRED
- 3-6 years’ experience in Public Accounting
- CPA or at minimum, 150 accredited hours with eligibility to obtain CPA
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting
- General knowledge in accounting and taxes; auditing is a plus!
- Proficiency in tax software, Microsoft Office, and QuickBooks
- Ability to maintain new and existing relationships with clientele while building positive rapport with clients
- Traveling is required for this role (same day, out of town, and overnights on occasion)
- Must have a valid drivers license and auto insurance as a personal vehicle will be required for commuting to and from work sites, in addition to meetings and seminars
- Must be comfortable working in an in-office setting and on-site at client facilities
