Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client, is currently recruiting for a Safe Quality Food (SQF) Practitioner to work in the Milwaukee, WI area.

SUMMARY

This position will lead the assessment, development and deployment of all food safety and quality systems within the facility in order to comply with company objectives, industry standards, regulatory and customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Responsible for food safety and legality.

  • Develop and execute SQF plans to achieve/maintain SQF Level 2 Certification.
  • Develop and maintain systems to assure compliance to all SQF systems, third party audits and regulatory requirements.
  •  Develop, implement, and evaluate food safety and quality programs.
  •  Maintain all quality and food safety records.
  • Coordinate internal auditing process and ensure all items of non-compliance discovered are communicated to management and corrected within a timely manner.
  • Maintain all registers as required by SQF.
  • Coordinate and facilitate training for the facility employees on the requirements of all established programs (GMPs, HACCP, Pre-Requisite Programs, Food Defense, etc.)
  • Reassess company plans and programs whenever there is a change to a program, process, procedure, ingredient, equipment, etc.
  • Support the HACCP team in the development and reassessment of the HACCP plan and pre-requisite programs.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative analysis to standardize operations, identify root causes, improve processes, solve problems and manage risks associated with food safety and poor quality of product.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintain good record keeping of product ingredient and nutritional information through the various computer programs.
  • Responsible for adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.

Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Knowledge of food manufacturing industry and regulation inspection procedures.
  • SQF Practitioner
  • Communicates effectively in speaking, writing, and in listening.
  • Proactive mind-set and flexibility are important as well as the ability to work under just-in-time pressures.
  • Good organization and time management skills.

SCHEDULE

  • 1st shift:  Monday thru Friday 7am-4pm
  • Pay Rate:  $55k/yr+ depending on experience
