Goodwill TalentBridge, and our client, is actively recruiting for experienced Quality /Metrology Technicians in the Vernon Hills, IL area! This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity offering a collaborative, team-oriented, environment. 

M-F; 1st shift

Responsible for calibrating instruments to measure pressure, temperature, time, force, torque, speed, flow and electric current/voltage along with resistance. 

  • Perform calibrations,  inspections and measurements on test equipment to ensure measurement accuracy
  • Follow specified instructions and use calibration standards and procedures
  • Heavy documentation - documenting all aspects of calibration using Mudcats
  • Work with customers to assist with procedural questions and to resolve technical issues
  • Develops and maintains preventative maintenance and safety programs
  • Performs minor repairs as necessary


What's Required?

  • 2+ years' experience working within quality, calibration, metrology and/or electronics
  • Knowledge of how to utilize measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, weights, flow meters, pressure gauges, etc.
  • Experience with AS400 is a plus! 
  • Ability to problem solve, make decisions and work with customers to troubleshoot and repair products. 
  • Ability to work with customers and outside vendors to provide updates on repairs or shipping delays.
