Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client, is currently recruiting for a Quality Specialist to work in the Wheeling area.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:

  • Generate quality data and reports for internal and external reviews.
  • Train new QA personnel when requested.
  • Perform the duties of a QA Technician as needed.
  • Work with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis teams for specific processes and/or products.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of and compliance to our Quality Management System.
  • Perform various types of quality audits (product, process, system or vendor).
  • Manage the QA Hold area and oversee/execute corresponding system transactions.
  • Contribute to the successful launch and transfer of new products to production through the NPI process.
  • Take lead role in or contribute to specific Quality projects/initiatives as defined by the Quality Leader.
  • Assist QA employees in the completion of various assignments, including inspections, validations, and calibrations as needed.
  • Enter SPC data for new products and processes into the computer and generate a statistical analysis report for capability review.
  • Review manufacturing documentation and train quality & production personnel in performing verification inspections including interpretation of the IPC workmanship standards.
  • Document Control activities through the electronic documentation system including training of associates to read, review and approve documents; and maintaining a fully compliant system.
  • Assists in the gathering, trending and reporting of metrics that effectively measure and communicate quality performance.
  • Quality warehouse functions such as periodic review of activities, process monitoring, procedure review, assistance with process improvements, act as training liaison, assist in the development of an appropriate incoming product receipt process.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

  • An Associate degree with more than 2 years experience in any combination of Quality Assurance, manufacturing/process engineering, (preferably in electronics PCB assembly).
  • Proficient in MS Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint (advanced knowledge of Excel is desired).
  • Experience in data collection and analysis systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic manufacturing standards is desired.
  • Familiar with Quality related tools to implement a systematic improvement plan.
  • Knowledge and experience of working with ISO 9001 standard is desired, knowledge of ISO 13485 and ISO 14001 systems is a definite asset.
  • Familiar with the NCR and CAPA procedures, proven experience in performing quality audits for internal teams and vendors.
  • Strong background in the quality tools such as SPC, DOE, FMEA, Control Plans, Acceptance Sampling, Metrology-GRR, Process Capability Analysis, etc.
