M-FRI; 100% ONSITE
*Flexibility with start/end time, core hours 8am-5pm -  Up to 1 hour for lunch breaks!

As a Quality Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for leading all quality efforts specific to suppliers, manufacturing, and customer concerns. This role will require you to communicate and collaborate with members, cross-functionally, company wide. 

Additional responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

  • Use data to drive corrective action with targeted impacts related to key quality metrics (defect rate, scrap rate, process yield, warranty impact).
  • Generate reports and develop presentations that allows you to showcase data, "making the case". 
  • Develop inspection methods to analyze and ensure product quality. 
  • Review and improve manufacturing processes to ensure systemic internal quality.
  • Analyze and present quality insights and periodization of focus.
  • Review product design to maintain and improve overall quality of products.
  • Ensure products adhere to company and industry quality standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis to identify internal and customer quality concerns.
  • Document results and findings after inspections are carried out.
  • Take ownership of internal quality monitoring system and quality improvement projects.
  • Implement a working system to ensure conformity and accuracy in production processes'.
  • Continuous Improvement Efforts & Initiatives 
  • Oversee necessary technician daily responsibilities.
  • Assist with other projects as needed. 

Requirements:

LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • BS in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience specific to quality engineering, quality assurance, quality management, or a similar role specific to the Automotive, Industrial, and/or Manufacturing industries.
  • Must be able to communicate and collaborate with all members of the organization, from operators to senior and executive level team members. 
  • Background in data analytics with the ability to process large amounts of raw data, gathering information and analyzing trends/spikes.
  • Proficiency with Power Bi, Mini Tab, Tableau, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
  • Proven knowledge when it comes to corrective action reports, root cause analysis, and production parts approval processes. 
  • Must be willing to work hands-on while splitting your time between the production floor and office area. 
  • Excellent project management skill set. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be willing to travel (less than 5% of the time) to customer facilities and potential suppliers within the U.S.  

Office Environment: Mix/combination of office and being on the production floor, building a repour with your team while learning product lines and processes.
