Goodwill TalentBridge and one of our clients in the metal manufacturing industry is actively seeking a Quality Control Specialist in the Wheeling, IL area.

$18.00/HR - starting pay; negotiable based on experience.

  • Compare products being run on each line with the production schedule to ensure proper products are being produced.
  • Perform specified inspection procedures on products in production such as drop test flame treatment test, top load test label application, data coding on cases and proper packaging.
  • Perform inspection on final packaged units as prescribed.
  • Report all rejected products to shift supervisor and follow through until defect is corrected.
  • Place product on hold as necessary, fill out proper reports and give information to Shift Supervisor.
  • Work closely with Packers and Supervisor to resolve problems.
  • Check and assist machine operators with maintaining SPC charts.
  • Use micrometer, calipers, gauges, height gauge, weigh scales, drop test equipment, vertical load tester, density meter, knife and bar code scanner.




  • 2-3 years' experience working within manufacturing, production, and quality.
  • Ability to work with gauging and measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and other types of testing equipment.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
