Goodwill TalentBridge, in partnership with our customer, has a Direct-Hire opportunity for a Production Mechanic.

This production facility has many custom-built elements to its production line to manufacture gypsum-blended fertilizer. This is a first shift position but will require some flexibility to work during 2nd shift if repairs carry-over into 2nd shift or if there were a major equipment issue during 2nd shift.

*Located in Caledonia, WI – north or Racine.

*Pay rate is based on experience.

Basic Job Duties:

  • Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
  • Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
  • Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
  • Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.
  • Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment.
  • Clean, lubricate, or adjust parts, equipment, or machinery.
  • Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs.
  • Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment.
  • Study blueprints or manufacturers' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery.
  • Record parts or materials used and order or requisition new parts or materials, as necessary.
  • Record repairs and maintenance performed.
  • And other duties, as assigned.



  • Trouble shooting capability on production equipment to include all electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic repairs.
  • Skilled in using various portable machines and hand tools, e.g., flange facing machines, drills, grinders, etc.
  • Trouble shoot and locate defective parts by disassembling devices using hand tools, power tools, and precision equipment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Additional training and or certificate in mechanics or welding preferred/helpful.
