Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client, is currently recruiting for a PRODUCTION EXTRUSION OPERATOR/MIXER , to work in the Mukwonago area.

To produce quality product in the most efficient and safe manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

MIXERS:

  • Mixers follow the order to gather appropriate raw materials, precisely weigh, and prepare the batch to mix.
  • Mixers setup the batch on an appropriate mixer, monitor progress, and deliver batch to the line.
  • Upon completion of extrusion process the Mixers clean mixers and kettles thoroughly.


EXTRUSION OPERATORS:

  • Upon receipt of the batch from the Mixer, the Operator will set up the order by adjusting heat settings, prep the water troughs, prep the method of packaging and then will release material from kettle, or scoop/bucket material from barrel or gaylord case into hopper.
  • Operators attend to machines as product is running, which involves feeding plastic strands through water troughs, up over dryer and guiding it into the pelletizer which securely cuts the strands in an enclosed and secured manner.
  • Upon accomplishment of starting an order the machine feeds itself and Operator monitors smooth flow of material, quality of the extrusion, and troubleshoots issues as they occur.
  • Operator monitors the classifying (sifting) of the chips checking product for accurate size of cut, color, acquires quality inspection approvals, and re-feeds poor quality cut product into hopper.
  • Operator accomplishes proper packaging, final weighing, accurate labeling of container (box, barrel, or Gaylord-case), and staging the order for shipment.
  • At completion of order the Operators scoop or bucket purge into the extruder to eliminate color, clean machines/work stations, and prepare to start the next order.

Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • 1-3 years prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Plastics industry experience highly desirable.
  • Must be able to pass a basic math & weighing/measurement test, drug screen, and physical exam and become forklift certified.


SCHEDULE

  • 1st shift (730am-4pm)
  • 2nd shift (330pm-12am)
  • 3rd shift (1130pm-8am)
  • Pay Range:  $17.50/hr+
