Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client, is currently recruiting for a Product Engineer Support person to work in the Wheeling area.

They achieve this goal with expert design, manufacturing, supply chain, order fulfillment and aftermarket solutions.

SUMMARY

The Product Engineer Assistant will assist the Product Engineer with their duties including maintaining and creating documentation. This individual will also provide technical support to the manufacturing floor and the customer service team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Entry and maintenance of ECO including: impact analysis, actions, scheduling, etc.
  • Review and maintain documentation; create master folders.
  • Assist engineers in maintaining customer documentation.
  • Read and understand customer specifications, bills of materials and drawings for translation to internal documentation.
  • Create and maintain new parts, bills of materials, and assembly routings in the Oracle database.
  • Archive various revisions of customer documentation and convert information to internal documentation revisions.
  • Provide technical support to Customer Focus Teams and manufacturing.
  • Assist with various NPI activities.
  • Develop procurement specifications and resolve parts of receiving issues.
  • Interface with customers regarding technical or manufacturing issues.

Requirements:

  • Two year electronics degree AND one to three years of equivalent experience with electronic assembly processes and parts OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, and assembly drawings.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one settings and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to read electronic schematics and prints.
  • Computer skills required-experience with MS Office applications.
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP system is preferred.
  • Ability to apply common sense, understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
