Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client, is currently recruiting for a Plasma Operator to work in the Sturtevant, WI area.
SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Plant Manager this position is responsible for the set up, adjustment and operating a computer laser cutting machine.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
- Inventory plate steel and consumables once a week.
- Daily check filters and clean work area at the end of work shift.
- As needed clean bottom of tables and replace rails.
- Other jobs or projects as assigned
- Meet the daily production schedule as provided by supervision
- Get and place plate steel in proper position on table.
- By use of plasma cutting book enters commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control media.
- Verifies conformance of finished parts to specifications.
- Assure all equipment is functioning properly.
