Payroll & HR Coordinator

Working with our client, a Christian faith-based organization, Goodwill TalentBridge is seeking a payroll and HR Coordinator to assist their team with payroll and HR process and functions. This critical role will perform administrative tasks including HRIS entry and maintenance, employee time audits and general reporting. This role will interface with management and employees and must possess a collaborative, customer first focus along with excellent communication and technology skills. Essential Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact to answer employee questions related to time entry, HRIS access, and other general department inquiries
  • Open and route all mail that comes into the Payroll and HR departments
  • Monitor Payroll & HR Department email inboxes and triage or escalate all inquiries
  • Maintain employee documents in the HRIS
  • Assist in the preparation of benefit open enrollment materials, communications and presentations
  • Facilitate the employee UKG onboarding portal and process all new hires
  • Create and distribute team member onboarding packets and other employee recognition materials as needed such as maternity, birthdays, and anniversaries
  • Assist the Talent Acquisition team with scheduling candidate interviews, coordinating career fairs and other various recruitment tasks
  • Manage the employee referral program and effectively communicate bonuses to payroll for processing
  • Track contingent and special circumstances in candidate offers
  • Regularly review time management system for timeliness and accuracy of punches and communicate discrepancies with the Payroll Manager, team members, and supervisors
  • Produce and distribute various post-payroll reports after the close of each payroll cycle
  • Prepare garnishments for entry and send required communications to impacted employees
  • Respond to and complete previous and current team member employment verifications
  • Review and respond to unemployment inquiries and audits
  • Complete ad hoc reporting by request from the Payroll and HR teams
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or higher preferred
  • 2+ years of admin level payroll and human resources experience
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • GSuite and Microsoft Office familiarity including advanced level Excel (vlookups, pivot tables)
  • Proficiency with UKG or Kronos HRIS and timekeeping preferred
