Goodwill TalentBridge and our client located in Antioch, IL is actively seeking a talented Payroll Analyst to join their team.Your responsibilities as a Payroll Analysts include reviewing and overseeing payroll documents for inefficiencies and errors, verifying hours worked and piece work to ensure payments are made on time, preparing reports and forecasts for senior management, and ensuring compliance with all compensation and tax regulations. You must have excellent analytical skills with the ability to detect numerical errors. You will help maintain an efficient payroll process that complies with all federal and state regulations.
SCHEDULE:
Monday through Friday plus overtime as needed; Hours are 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.

Location: Antioch (Onsite)
Pay: $23-$35 an hour based on experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research, track, and document problems and discrepancies
- Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
- Review timesheets and attendance records and correct inaccuracies
- Prepare and submit all necessary paperwork for 3rd party payroll company to process tax deductions, benefits, and garnishments
- Analyze compensation-related data including hourly wages and bonuses
- Oversee payroll transactions (e.g. via e-banking)
- Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records
- Process benefit costs, like insurance fees, and sick leaves
- Design, document, and implement procedures to streamline payroll processes
- Manage payment calendars for the fiscal year
- Report to management on payroll issues and changes
- Answer employees’ questions about salaries and tax
- Stay up to date on state and federal payroll and tax laws
- Follow additional instructions and perform additional work-related duties as directed by supervisor.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bilingual -Fluent in Spanish & English preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two or four year degree in Human Resources Management, Accounting, or relevant field preferred
- Proven experience as a Payroll Analyst, Payroll Coordinator, or similar role
- Must have strong financial competence
- Must be able to perform in a highly confidential environment
- Must have strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel & Outlook
- Proficient with Excel and spreadsheets (vLookup, pivot tables, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and payroll software such as Oracle and Kronos
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and analytical skills
- Deep knowledge of state and federal payroll and tax regulations
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
