Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client, is currently recruiting a Patient Care Coordinator to work in the Palatine area.

Patient Care Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming telephone calls or walk-in customers
  • Schedule appointments
  • Enter patient information in Sycle along with second contact phone number
  • Confirm insurance coverage for patients prior to (or at arrival for) appointments
  • Greet patients upon arrival in a friendly manner and assure patient comfort in waiting room.
  • Check for necessary forms in chart for new patients (intake sheets/referral forms/insurance signatures)
  • Obtain new signed intake sheet annually for existing patients and check for changes in address, emergency contact, alternative phone number.
  • Collect and record payments in QuickBooks
  • Perform minor troubleshooting of hearing aids brought in with problems
  • Prepare hearing aid demo and fitting folders

Order Processing:

  • Complete paperwork and packaging of outgoing orders
  • Track hearing aid and service orders in log
  • Bring outgoing packages to delivery box
  • Insure that new or repaired hearing aids are ready for patient appointment
  • Track monthly hearing aid sales

Over The Counter Sales:

  • Handle sales of retail items
  • Monitor battery and other over the counter supplies
  • Order items as needed

General Office Duties:

  • Open and close the office
  • Maintain patient database
  • File charts and perform general office duties
  • Record daily receipts
  • Balance cash drawer daily
  • Send birthday and other cards to patients
  • Generate and mail monthly follow-up letters
  • Maintain cleanliness

  • Desire to learn about hearing impaired patients and hearing technologies
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in database system and Quickbooks for patient related activities
  • Ability to pick up and move packages up to 10 pounds
