Our client, Erie Humboldt Park Health and Dental Center, has engaged us to hire 25 compassionate and friendly Patient Access Representatives. THESE ARE DIRECT HIRE ROLES. Erie Medical is a diverse non-for-profit health center that has been helping over 80,000 patients across 13 locations for over 60 years.

As a Patient Access Representative, you will be working in fast paced environment providing exceptional customer service over the phone with grace and professionalism. The position is full time, direct hire with varying hours between 7am – 8pm and must be available to work one weekend day.  

Candidates are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or willing to be vaccinated for employment.   

Responsibilities 

  • Handle patients’ requests for all locations while applying correct workflows and protocols accurately and in a timely manner 

  • Simultaneously collect information from patients and key data into EMR systems 

  • Schedule In-Person and Telehealth appointments at multiple locations 

  • Register and verify insurance eligibility 

  • Closely follow all HIPAA guidelines when speaking with patients and families 

  • Route calls to correct administrative and clinical departments after assessing patients’ needs 

  • Supports departmental changes, demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude in a fast paced, changing environment 

 

 

Requirements:

Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required 

  • Experience working in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment; call center preferred  

  • Healthcare operations or administration experience preferred 

  • Strong computer skills experience with dual screens, and navigating between multiple applications at once; types 25 WPM
