Goodwill TalentBridge is actively recruiting Packaging Material Handlers in the North Chicago/Waukegan area! This is a 2nd shift opportunity, long-term, temp to hire.
Schedule: 2:30PM - 11:00PM; M-F + OT as required, including weekends.
Pay: $15.00/HR+$1.00/HR shift differential
SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, stacks filled candy cartons and moves loaded skids from packing area to staging area for shipment, and rotate with tray washing crew.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lifts filled candy cartons from conveyor and correctly stacks them on skids, ensures skids are properly squared and that items are palletized by item number and weight.
- Uses forklift/pallet jack to move loaded skids to staging area.
- Keeps Pallet Movement Report and makes sure that this report matches production ticket.
- Uses hand held scanner as needed to make license plates for product identification.
- Report daily production accurately using the scanning system.
- Preform start up and shutdown procedure for tray washing machine.
- Wash plastic trays using the tray washer.
- Mark cleaned trays with label stating they are clean and separate from dirty trays.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
*Responsible for the quality of their work and implementation of the food safety/quality procedures applicable to the processes that they perform.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or previous experience
- Previous manufacturing or food manufacturing experience
- Previous forklift and/or electric pallet truck experience
- Ability to Read, Write, and Speak in the English language
- Ability to subtract, multiply, divide, add, and perform measurements using money, weight, volume and/or distance.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic, must be willing to work overtime as required.
