Essential Duties:
- Teach curriculum to students and ensure a process of critical thinking within classroom
- Measure student achievement through regular educator designed assessments and evaluation
- Employ a data-driven approach to teaching practices
- Engage in cross-functional and collaborative communication with educator team in areas of lesson planning, teacher observation and student learning metrics
- Act as a role model to students, demonstrating alignment with organizational values, policies and culture
- Develop and maintain family relationships and consistent communication with students and their families
- Direct support staff within the classroom
Requirements:
- This role requires an active Wisconsin Teaching Certification (preferably in subject area) and a bachelor's degree
- Commitment to the success of students, unwavering belief in the ability of students to achieve success
- A desire to impact student success in an urban school environment and to make a difference in the communities our client serves
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a lead teacher
