Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client, is currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to work in the Racine, WI area.


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  1. Prepare detailed specifications for manufacturing equipment and tooling.
  2. Assist with the placement of manufacturing systems and preparation of layout drawings and the necessary installation drawings.
  3. Investigate current processes and develop better methods for quality and cost effectiveness.
  4. Review, critique and approve design layouts, detail drawings, machine hydraulic, pneumatic and control drawings with appropriate personnel.
  5. Evaluate, justify and procure equipment, tooling and manufacturing processes; select suitable vendors; and assist in negotiating terms.
  6. Estimate costs of tooling, equipment and manufacturing in order to develop and write AR’s (Appropriation Requests).
  7. Troubleshoot and identify causes of operational problems. Initiate and implement modifications or configuration changes associated with corrective action.
  8. Attend seminars and manufacturing technology meetings, keeping abreast of technological advances for possible use in manufacturing and products.
  9. Identify and document items necessary for repair and maintenance of equipment and tooling.
  10. Work and communicate with other departments and vendors to accomplish required team assignments.
  11. Plan, justify and introduce capital investments (manufacturing cells, systems, machines and equipment).

Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  1. BS in Engineering Discipline + 6 years or BS in Engineering + Masters in applicable field + 3 years or Postgraduate Doctoral Degree in Engineering Discipline + 0 years

SCHEDULE
  • 6 months to 1 year assignment
  • 40 hours a week, Monday thru Friday:  8am-5pm
  • Salary- $80K-$90K
