Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client, is currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to work in the Niles, IL area.

SUMMARY

The ideal candidate will have 2-5+ years' experience as a Manufacturing Engineer and have experience with precision CNC machinery, as well as excellent communication and problem solving skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Support production with machine setups, trouble shooting, process improvement, operator training and other functions.
  • Support engineering with part updates, machine layouts and programs, as well as other functions.
  • Attend trade shows to gain knowledge on different and new technology within the manufacturing field
  • Generate new business quotations for customers; includes cycle layouts and choosing proper tooling for the job
  • Communicate with customers throughout entire quoting and manufacturing process
  • Suggest modifications to customer specifications to simplify engineering and manufacturing proble
  • Generate blueprints, tool layouts and programs on newly awarded business

Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • 4 years minimum work experience in related fields
  • Ability to read and understand part prints.
  • Experience with Star CNC, Swiss CNC Machines, Vertical Machining Centers, HAAS machines is a plus.
  • Experience with inspection devices, specifically micrometers and calipers- requirred 
  • Experience with drawing software, Solidworks is a plus.
  • Experience with computer and/or machine programming, MasterCAM a plus
  • Ability to be a team leader
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment for long shifts.
  • Driven attitude for problem solving and continuous improvement.

SCHEDULE

  • 1st Shift: 6am - 3pm
  • Salary: Starting at $75k/yr. [and up based on prior experience.] 
  • Direct Hire
