Goodwill is working with Empower Youth. This program helps entry level candidates to learn new skills. Candidates will be hired on by a local company looking to educate and help a candidate grow. Candidates must be between 18-24 years of age. Some skills are a plus. Candidates will be working a temp to hire contract with the ability to be hired on after a period of temp work.
POSITION:MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
REPORTS TO:MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Hours: 7 am to 3:30 pm M-F with optional OT
Pay: $16.00 an hour
JOB SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance. All work will be done in compliance with EPA, Hazmat and OSHA safety rules and regulations
Requirements:
RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform Plant Maintenance Repairs as directed by the maintenance manager
Perform minor HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting repairs as needed
Perform Equipment Preventive Maintenance as directed by Maintenance Manager
Meet Customer and Regulatory Requirements to achieve Customer Satisfaction
Attend Monthly Safety Meetings
Adhere to applicable Health and Safety Regulations
Adhere to QMS Procedures
Adhere to all LOTO Procedures
Perform Occasional Forklift Operation
Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
Respond quickly in event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow all safety protocol
Perform other duties as assigned
Key Skills: Fabrication, Welding, Electrical, Pneumatics, Math Skills, plumbing, carpentry
Lifting Requirement- 100 lbs. (ex: moving steel for welding)
Proficient in identification and use of hand and power tools
Training provided: Forklift, Electrical, LOTO, and any others that our client may deem necessary to complete day to day tasks
