Goodwill TalentBridge is assisting with recruitment for an experienced Maintenance Technician! Our client is a global manufacturing leader of adhesives and film materials seeking a skillful and hands-on problem solver to join their team.
What is the Position?
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the execution of diagnostic troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance procedures for all production machinery and related support systems. Additionally, they will undertake scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal condition of facility infrastructure.

Requirements:
What are the Responsibilities? Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Oversee the upkeep and adjustment of machinery and apparatus to ensure optimal operational periods.

Execute routine maintenance tasks according to an established schedule to uphold peak performance and dependability.

Document all maintenance activities in the equipment log with precision and timeliness, ensuring comprehensive records are maintained.
-
Obtain necessary parts or supplies as required, typically on a monthly basis.
-
Assist the Facilities Engineer in organizing and overseeing external service provider engagements.
-
Ensure the work environment and equipment are consistently organized and well-maintained.
-
Provide support and coverage outside regular hours on an as-needed basis.

Travel to and support operations at the sister facility (30 miles away) as required.
What are the Necessary Skills? Skills include but are not limited to:

Extensive experience with machine control systems, PLC logic, HMI interfaces, and motor drives; programming skills are a plus.

Proficient with measurement instruments such as rulers, tape measures, digital calipers, and infrared thermometers.
-
Skilled in solving practical problems in varied, non-standardized situations.
-
Capable of advising on spare parts, safety procedures, and operator engagement, with management consultation as needed.

Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with teams.

Knowledgeable in equipment and building wiring, including up to 480-volt, 3-phase systems.

Experienced with hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic plumbing.

Skilled in interpreting maintenance schedules and records.
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office and online research for parts acquisition.

Competent in designing and fabricating parts with standard shop equipment; welding skills are a plus.

Able to operate forklifts and scissor lifts, climb ladders while following proper training.

Flexible to work in various indoor and outdoor conditions.

Holds a valid driver's license.
What Education or Training should I have?
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Knowledge of machinery repair, troubleshooting and industrial building maintenance.

3-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with heavy industrial equipment.

Proficient with basic hand tools, shop equipment, electrical multimeters, and amp probes.
-
Strong mechanical aptitude, math skills, problem-solving ability, multi-tasking, and attention to detail.
