Goodwill TalentBridge seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to work in this direct hire role with our client, a leading manufacturer of ventilation, air quality and centralized building solutions. 

The Maintenance Supervisor will provide leadership and direction to the plant maintenance department responsible for repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment in manufacturing operations. Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation to ensure continuous production operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage maintenance staff on 3 shifts.  Develop, direct, and maintain all machine maintenance.
  • Ensure all department metrics are met regularly.
  • Develop training plans for maintenance staff to ensure understanding of maintenance requirements of all plant equipment and safety procedures.
  • Develop capital plans and prepare capital project justification to ensure long-term viability of plant operation.
  • Manage capital projects as needed.
  • Develop and manage department budgets.
  • Identify and acquire any controls, tools, equipment, resources, and skills needed to achieve continuous improvement in plant and staff performance, safety and quality.
  • Promote continuous improvement by participating in Kaizen events, safety teams, and other collaborative opportunities.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required. 
  • Minimum of 7 years work experience in machine maintenance and repair, with 5 years in metal stamping or fabrication environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, 5S and Continuous Improvement practices
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience with predictive / preventative maintenance.
  • Proven project management execution experience.
  • PLC (SLC 500, RS Logix, Control Logix) troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience managing a multi-shift operation in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leader with ability to support and drive change.
  • Able to communicate effectively with maintenance, production, and management staff.
  • Able to work independently without direct supervision in an off-shift setting.
  • Understands Broan safety requirements and ensures all staff members understand and comply with those requirements.
  • Able to understand unplanned events in the plant and can react to contain, determine root cause analysis to correct events quickly and effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent walking throughout the plant each day.
