Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client, is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Mechanic to work in the Pleasant Prairie, WI area.


Plant Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for the preventative maintenance and upkeep of the facility and machinery, indoors and outdoors. The individual fulfilling this role will be required to read schematics, blue-prints, problem solve, and work with hand tools and power tools. In addition to problem solving, eagerness and willingness to learn is a plus!



  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe systems.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of equipment.
  • Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures.
  • Plumbing – replace sinks and toilets, along with piping throughout chemical plant.
  • Machine installation and preventative maintenance
  • HVAC – change filters and belts
  • Electrical – basic work such as replacing receptacles and switches.
  • Facility maintenance, year-round.
  • Basic handyman/repair duties such as assembling desks or cubicles, drywall repair, painting, etc.
  • **SNOW REMOVAL INCLUDED, must be ok with working outdoor during all seasons of the year, including winter. Duties may include shoveling, plowing, laying salt, snow blowing or using a leaf blower, etc.
  • Responsible for keeping areas clean and following all GMP standards along with company policies



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic arithmetic, reading, and writing skills
  • Ability to problem solve and provide solutions to maintenance situations
  • Ability to work with others and independently in a safe and timely manner
  • Ability to work with hand and power tools, having your own set of tools is a plus!
  • Willingness to learn and complete trainings as required.
  • PPE gear – safety glasses, respirator, steel toes, chemical resistant cotton wear, etc.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all-weather seasons of the year – winter, spring, summer, and fall
  • Previous maintenance, handyman, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or construction and forklift experience is a plus!


  •  M-F; 6:00AM – 2:30PM plus overtime as required.
  • Pay: $16.00+/HR; based on experience
  • Contract to Hire Opportunity

 Must have own basic tools and toolbox to perform repairs - screw drivers, socket set, wrenches, channel locks, etc. Candidate does not need all of them at once. It is okay to borrow tools in the beginning, but you are expected to acquire tools throughout employment as deemed necessary to complete the job. 

***Company provides specialty tools only - machine specific, big pipe wrenches, drivers, grease guns, etc.
