Goodwill TalentBridge and one of our clients in the North Chicago area is seeking an EXPERIENCED, 1st Shift Maintenance Coordinator.

Shift: 7:00AM – 3:30PM
*Must be flexible to work OT as needed through out the week, plus occasional weekends.

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Summary:

Provides administrative and clerical support to the Maintenance and Kitchen/Mogul Departments to ensure the efficient operation of said departments by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs timely and accurate data entry for the maintenance management database.
  • Is a member of the SQF team.
  • Reviews preventative maintenance and equipment maintenance work orders for completion and fulfillment of SQF requirements.  Logs and tracks orders to meet SQF audit requirements.
  • Counts items, material, equipment or supplies in stock and posts total to inventory records.
  • Compiles information on receipt or disbursement of materials equipment and supplies, computes inventory balances and maintains designated required spare parts inventory.
  • Stocks and issues materials or supplies utilized by other departments as needed.
  • Orders supplies from purchasing and produces required documentation.
  • Performs weekly/bi-weekly checks on chemical cabinets and re-stocks as needed along with updating chemical lists and forwarding them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Performs weekly/bi-weekly audits within the parts room sections to keep accurate inventory.
  • Adjusts inventory for signed out parts that are listed on the parts sheet to keep an accurate inventory.
  • Stocks parts as they are received in the shop and closes PO’s as they are fulfilled.
  • Keeps the building 5 motor room organized and inventoried for easy clarification when a motor/gear box is needed for production.
  • Coordinates with vendors for special orders or orders needed ASAP.
  • Ships parts, equipment and materials as needed for the maintenance department, coordinating with other Jelly Belly Employees as needed.
  • Places parts orders that are needed urgently for production received by maintenance personnel. Large monetary orders need manager approval.
  • Works with maintenance personnel regarding parts clarification and organization concerns.
  • Releases PM’s for the weekly preventative maintenance to be performed.
  • Coordinates vendors for equipment repair and in some cases will sign off work when complete.
  • Stocks important forms needed by maintenance personnel for production.
  • Responsible for the quality of their work and implementation of the food safety/quality procedures applicable to the processes that they perform.
  • Back-up for processing packaging department manufacturing orders – reporting ingredient and labor usage and Inventory Control to correct discrepancies
  • Report all safety incidents.
  • Responsible to report any food safety/quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action – SQF Practitioner or direct supervisor.

Requirements:

Qualifications: 
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees. 
  • Familiarity with data entry, MC Office, M3, and general office equipment required. 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required
