Goodwill TalentBridge has partnered with a manufacturing company located in Round Lake Park, IL and is seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to join their team. This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity, offering benefits and a first shift schedule Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
$50k – starting pay, negotiable based on experience level.
More experience, higher the pay!!
Duties include and are not limited to the following:
- Working with the logistics team to deliver production orders, and sample briefs
- Manage and maintain all order movements in shipping software
- Manage raw material rejections for return
- Identify root cause and corrective actions for raw material supply and quality concerns
- Assists with the removal and/or disposal of surplus materials
- Coordinates deliveries from vendors and 3rd party companies to ensure shipments arrive on time
- Proactively follows up on outstanding issues with incoming and outgoing orders
- Assists with grievances related to carriers and 3PL’s
- Resolves issues with receiving and processing payments to vendors
- Maintains and/or implements logistical record keeping systems
- Ensures compliance and purchasing code of ethics when dealing with carriers
- Assists with other projects as assigned
Requirements:
What’s Required?
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree in Science, Engineering, Chemistry, Business, Economics, and/or Supply Chain is a plus!
- At least 3 years of manufacturing experience related to logistics, procurement, production control, and planning
- Production planning skill set required
- Knowledge of GMP’s
- Ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines
- Solid communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to communicate with internal departments, vendors, customers, and 3rd party carriers
- Computer skill set required in basic operations and working with various software applications
