Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client, is currently recruiting a Labeling Machine Operator to work in the Germantown, WI area.


Job Description:

The Labeling Operator is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the high-speed packaging equipment including the Palletizer and De-palletizer and all effected production equipment. This individual will work as part of a team and ensure a team environment is supported. Additional duties that the operator will perform will include but are not limited to the following:


ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

The candidate will be required to perform the essential responsibilities with or without accommodation. The company reserves the right to modify the essential responsibilities of the requisition at any time.

  • Complete machine set ups, change overs, tooling changes, adjustments and troubleshooting related to the operation of one or more packing machines.
  • Performs general light maintenance and troubleshooting of machines and related equipment.
  • Maintains line efficiencies at designed rate and the standards to meet quality and customer requirements.
  • Verbally communicates at shift changes with other operators on status of machines performance.
  • Enters equipment downtime and reasons into the MES data system for equipment promptly.
  • Maintains appropriate quality and production documentation
  • Verifies product matches the production schedule and completes inventory documentation
  • Ensures that required competencies to carry out these job functions affecting product legality, safety and quality are met in accordance with the Quality Policy and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) Standard.

Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • 6 months of high-speed Food Manufacturing, Packaging or Assembly line production experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated organizational, detail orientation and observational skills
  • Basic mathematical calculation skills
  • Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking and often with limited supervision
  • Requires a basic understanding of GMPS’, HACCP and SQF guidelines.
  • Requires a good mechanical aptitude to relate to and understand the equipment.
