Goodwill TalentBridge is assisting with recruitment for an experienced Inventory Control Lead! Our client is a top-tier manufacturer of print and digital communications seeking a confident and flexible leader to take charge of an inventory team.


What is the Position?

As an Inventory Control Lead, you will manage inventory, including supplies, materials, customer stock, and on-site manufactured goods while leading a small workforce. Your role involves verifying quantities, conditions, and part numbers through cycle counts and audits, replenishing and setting up inventory locations, and completing all related paperwork. You will also plan and schedule personnel and equipment efficiently, ensure cycle count targets are met, and oversee inventory control workflows to guarantee accurate and timely deliverables.

What are the Details?

  • Full time, Non-exempt role with Overtime pay
  • Direct Hire
  • Onsite 
  • Schedule is Mon - Fri  7:00am - 3:30pm 

What are the Responsibilities?     Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Role will not work directly with confidential data however will be in areas where confidential data is processed and therefore must complete annual HIPAA training.
  • Support other tasks and responsibilities, both permanent and temporary as assigned or directed by management.
  • Perform cycle counts as scheduled through supervisors, project management requests and low stock notifications.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse and inventory areas for efficient material storage and handling.
  • Operate forklifts and other necessary vehicles and equipment to properly handle materials being received, counted, verified, stocked, and picked.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to, but not limited to, security and protecting privacy of client and company information, production standards, and general safety.
  • Role directly oversees performance of 5 to 10 employees.'
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure the maintenance and upkeep of the physical location.

Requirements:

What are the Necessary Skills?   Skills include but are not limited to:

  • High School diploma or GED is required. Previous inventory control experience preferred.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and be comfortable working independently to achieve production expectations.
  • Must be well organized and able to communicate effectively with various departments within the organization.
  • Must be able to work outside normal working hours to accommodate production needs when required.
  • Computer experience (Google Mail, Google Sheets, Inventory systems)
  • WBS, IMS and Foundation (A plus if you have knowledge of these systems)

Environment

The role involves extended periods of standing or walking, working in moderate to loud noise environments in print and warehouse areas, exposure to temperature variations between work areas, and the need to move or lift materials weighing up to 70 pounds.
