Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client is currently recruiting for a General Warehouse Associate to work in the Waukegan, IL area.


Responsible for the proficient handling, shipping and/or fabrication of customer orders that could entail training and usage of one or more of the following machines:  Grating Shear, BTM Saw, Ironworker, 420 Saw, Slitter, overhead crane, forklift, etc., while complying with safety regulations and ISO guidelines.  Keen attention to detail is a must!


  • Pulling proper material as needed to fulfill customer orders using forklifts, crane, hand trucks, etc.  
  • Follow specific drawings, instructions and/or blueprints to accurately fabricate orders
  • Assists with unloading incoming shipments
  • Effectively communicates with supervisor/manager any questions or concerns regarding orders
  • Prepare and complete orders for shipment or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)
  • Process all warehouse paperwork as required (sales orders, receiving, fab sheets, etc.)
  • Ability to use Barcode Scanners while pulling material for order fulfillment
  • Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)
  • Inspect products for damage and report to manager as needed
  • Complete Fabrication Sheets/Forms as required
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
  • Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment such as forklifts, crane, etc.
  • Follow ISO quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
  • Forklift Certification within 90 days of job entry date
  • Follow all safety protocol and warehouse procedures
  • Adhere to all company procedures, ISO Quality Objectives, values and policies
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested with a sense of humor and team spirit.




  • Background in metals industry and warehouse function preferred, but not required
  • Prefer bilingual in English/Spanish, but not required
  • Must be able to communicate effectively
  • Must be able to read a tape measure
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity necessary for the work
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and prioritize daily tasks according to their importance
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
