Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client is currently recruiting for Experienced Bench Assemblers to work in the Racine area.


This job consists of preparing Kits & Shells, Bodies, Inspect Insulation for use in Assembly and any other light jobs as needed.   A combination of sit down and stand up work is needed for these jobs.  All work involves light weight.  Operator must make quality checks as required, do own housekeeping and restock area as needed.  Use of PPE as required.


  • Ability to understand and follow all BOM’s, Manuals, Set-up, Workmanship Standards and assembly instructions pertaining to these areas.
  • Operator will be assembling body containers
  • Inspect units on hang line for cosmetic appearance and material abnormalities.
  • Visually inspect all units for cosmetic defects and material abnormalities as directed on work instructions.
  • Identify quantities needed and be able to prioritize to meet production needs.
  • Form SS upper trim band by rolling stock and forming teeth; assemble lower trim band and wrap upper trim band to shell according to work instructions; and place completed assemblies for next operation.
  • Order product necessary to assemble kits per BOM.  Form carton and place stopper, mounting, literature, baffle, plumbing, etc. into carton per BOM and appropriately label each carton and place product in designated area.
  • Order product and obtain proper equipment needed to machine and/or assemble Trim Shells.  Mount shell to drum and assemble trim band and badge; load finished shells into appropriate container and place product in designated area.
  • Perform secondary operation on Caps and Cartons as needed.Complete all required paperwork, quality records, documents, etc. Comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.  Maintain departmental housekeeping standards, and clean/restock area at end of shift.
  • Other duties may be assigned.


  • Operator must have full use and mobility of hands, fingers, wrists, elbows, and shoulders.
  • Operator must twist body side to side 45° continuously.
  • Ability to communicate problems to supervisor, set-up personnel, and/or material handlers.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions, workmanship standards, Operator Inspection Cycles, and other job related material. 
  • Ability to identify correct parts and materials.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations with whole numbers and decimals.
