Director of Human Resources

Goodwill TalentBridge is recruiting a Director of Human Resources.  This dynamic direct hire position will work for our client, an established and growing non-profit organization that provides essential services to communities in Wisconsin.  The Director of HR will design and lead the strategic direction of the human resources department in collaboration with senior leadership and ensure that overall HR functions and practices align with the organizational goals and mission. The HR Director will be knowledgeable of employment law and regulations and will oversee areas of benefits administration, employee development and training.

Essential Duties:


  • Planning and implementation of HR strategy for the organization including development and execution of effective management and supervisory training programs
  • Compliance management ensuring all regulations regarding employment practices, documentation and reporting are adhered to
  • Benefits management, acting as liaison between organization and insurance providers/brokers, ensuring compliance
  • Develop and maintain salary and benefit structure for organization
  • Provide advisory throughout organization of personnel policies and response to employees in a fair and equitable manner
  • Provide timely response to employment verification and inquires
  • Personnel record keeping and maintenance
  • Assist with records and documentation review and audit
  • Ensure timely completion of records for both new and terminating employee status
  • Recruitment strategy and process advisory and assistance
  • Employ conflict management strategy and techniques to ensure harmonious employee engagement
  • FMLA, LOA and Leave without pay administration
  • Employee Handbook updates and maintenance including complete written personnel policies and supervisor duties
  • Plan and deliver training programs to employees at all levels of the organization that ensure professional development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience to include Director level roles
  • Previous supervisory experience
