Goodwill Talentbridge is looking for Dental Assistants for a premier client in the Chicagoland area!

We are seeking a responsible and caring Dental Assistants to join our team! Dental Assistants are vital to our organization as they work collaboratively with providers to ensure dental procedures run smoothly and our patients remain comfortable. The Dental Assistant works under supervision, assists the dentist in the routine handling of patients, instruments, supplies and materials. Our ideal candidate would thrive in a fast-paced environment and have excellent organizational skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists with the treatment of patients as required by dentist present and within the state guidelines limiting functions of dental auxiliaries.
  • Prepares patients, set ups instrument trays and prepares materials.
  • Maintain records, forms, correspondence, and other data in orderly and retrievable condition.
  • Acts as translator for clinic staff when necessary.
  • Maintains clinic instruments, instrument trays, equipment in a clean and orderly manner, including sterilization, equipment maintenance and minor cleaning operations according to established protocols.
  • Communicates pertinent information to dental staff so as to allow for continuity of treatment and daily operations.
  • Discusses the treatment plan with the patient. May assist and/or communicate with non-English/ Spanish only speaking patients
  • Schedules all follow up visits associated to complete the treatment plan and the next recall visit.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • 1+ year of experience in a dental setting required
  • CPR certification, required
  • Dental Assistant certification
