Goodwill TalentBridge, along with our client, is currently recruiting a Contact Tracer to work in the Racine, WI area.

Contact tracing is an evidence based public health practice designed to readily identify and connect with infected individuals, advise of isolation procedures, collect and quickly notify all close contacts of quarantine.

This position will work individually, but under the supervision of the Benefits Advisor.


  • Communicates with employees and responds to them via telephone or email.
  • Utilizes appropriate methods for interacting effectively and professionally with persons of all ages and from diverse backgrounds.
  • Maintains security and confidentiality and adheres to ethical principles and Company policy in the collection, maintenance, use, and dissemination of data and information.
  • Prioritizes time-sensitive activities.
  • Contacts individuals with suspected, probable, or confirmed communicable diseases as well as identified contacts of newly diagnosed persons.
  • Collects and records sensitive and protected health information.
  • Provide employees with approved information and guidance regarding recommended procedures and resources, including details and the importance of isolation and quarantine.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



  • Prior experience in health care, public health, or similar strongly preferred.
  • A clear understanding of patient confidentiality, including the ability to conduct interviews without violating confidentiality.
  • Excellent and sensitive interpersonal and interviewing skills such that they can build and maintain trust with employees and contacts.
  • The ability to grasp medical terms and principles of exposure, infection, and infectious periods.
  • Be able to independently manage workload that includes reaching out to contacts over the phone, maintaining case logs, and timely data entry.
  • Ability to maintain a distraction-free work area.
  • High School diploma or equivalent


  • Hours: 40 hours a week
  • Length: 90 days
  • Pay: $18-$20/hour
