Audit Manager
Goodwill TalentBridge is recruiting an Audit Manager in this direct hire role with our client, an established and respected accounting firm within the greater Milwaukee area. We are seeking a candidate with external audit experience that is ready contribute their expertise and dedication to excellence in their work to this management opportunity.
This role will oversee external audit and assurance projects for non-profit, for-profit and government sector clients of the firm in addition to ERISA audit projects. The Audit Manager will be responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling and supervising work and audit staff. This role will manage financial statement and compliance audits, reviews, and compilations. A primary responsibility will be to develop positive client relationships and ensure professional and timely communication.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Expert knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting
- GAAP and GAAS standards proficiency
- Professional communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to communicate appropriately with government agencies and regulatory organizations
- Analytical mindset
- Management of multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to adhere to deadlines
- MS Office Suite proficient and ability to learn various audit and accounting software
- Ability to develop and train team members
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Current CPA (state of WI)
- 5+ years of external audit experience
