Goodwill TalentBridge along with our client is currently recruiting for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to work in the Des Plaines, IL area.


The Accounts Receivable Specialist handles the processing of all incoming and outgoing payments. You will deliver monthly and quarterly reports on revenues while building customer relationships that tighten payment times through positive outreach. If you are precise and organized professional seeking the flexibility to work from home, this position could be an ideal fit, and there are opportunities for growth.


  • Processing, verifying, and posting receipts for goods sold or services rendered.
  • Researching and resolving account discrepancies.
  • Processing and recording transactions.
  • Maintaining records regarding payments and account statuses.
  • Obtaining information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up-to-date.
  • Working with the collections department to review accounts, client payments, credit history, and develop new or better repayment terms.
  • Performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts.
  • Generating reports and statements for internal use.
  • Engaging in ongoing educational opportunities to update job knowledge.



  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or 5 or more years in a similar role.
  • Strong PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet and database proficiency along with the desire to expand those skills.
  • Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments.


  • PAY: $19 - $20/HR
  • 8-5 M-F (2-3 days onsite)
