Accounting and Client Service ManagerGoodwill TalentBridge is recruiting an Accounting and Client Service Manager for our client, a wealth management firm located in Waukesha County. You will assist and collaborate with directors and the CEO in the overall management of clients as assigned. Primary responsibilities include overseeing projects and schedules, supervising client service teams, and reviewing the work prepared by the staff accountants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist and collaborate with Directors and the President/CEO in the overall management of assigned client base
- Oversee projects and schedules, supervise client service teams, and manage relationships with client base and/or staff accounting teams. Typical responsibilities may include meeting preparation, financial statement preparation, bill payment, investment performance, asset allocations, money transfers, cash flow, estate planning, etc.
- Review and manage staff deliverables concerning tax returns, extensions, tax planning calculations, and write-up work for all entity types (C and S corporations, partnership, fiduciary, non-profit, and gift)
- Point of contact and center of knowledge for assigned clients in the absence of the Director/CEO via developing a familiarity with assigned client histories and habits, as well as a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the assigned client service needs
- Oversee department in knowledge of software, processes, and workflows
- Evaluate internal controls and suggest and implement improvements or enhancements to create efficiency
- Organize, prioritize, understand, and effectively assign work/projects to staff and ensure timely and accurate completion and is a resource to answer questions and provide guidance to solve problems
- Direct ongoing employee training and assist with training for new hires
- Seek opportunities for the firm to develop and grow future leaders, and participate in development and teaching of internal courses
- Review simple tax returns completed by staff, ensuring ready for submission to the Director/CEO for final review with a high level of accuracy
- Prepare and/or review monthly or quarterly client bills for review by Director/CEO
Supervisory Responsibilities Regularly supervises firm members. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or master’s in business administration with undergraduate degree in finance.
- Previous staff accountant or equivalent experience.
- Experience reviewing tax returns and financial statements completed by other staff members.
- CPA license desired.
- Computer Skills Familiar with Microsoft Office products, Excel expert.
- Knowledge of the QuickBooks, ProSystem Tax is desired and the ability to learn other software packages as needed.
