Accounting & Payroll Assistant – Part-Time
Goodwill TalentBridge has partnered with our client, an established community K8 charter school in Milwaukee to recruit a part-time Accounting & Payroll Assistant. This flexible part-time position will manage bi-monthly payroll administration, taxation for the organization, accounts payable, accounts receivable, electronic recordkeeping duties. Collaboration with human resources to update employee payroll and benefits enrollments and updates into their HRIS systems. Some office administrative support as assigned. Our client offers a collaborative and welcoming environment, competitive compensation and flexible scheduling (20 hours per week) during weekdays and a PTO allowance.
The ideal candidate for this role will have knowledge and experience managing full cycle payroll and general accounting, with the ability to learn new processes and systems. Customer first orientation and collaborator approach is needed.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Three plus years’ related experience
- Full life cycle payroll administration experience
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and principles
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems with an analytical mindset
- Technologically savvy
- Dedication to continuous improvement
